Is it really free?

Yes, completely free. No hidden charges, no subscription, no account needed.

Do I need to download anything?

No. Arty Puzzles runs entirely in your web browser. It works on desktop, tablet, and mobile.

Is my progress saved?

Yes. Your progress is saved locally in your browser. You can close the tab and come back later to resume exactly where you left off. Click the Save button to be safe.

Can I play offline?

If you install Arty Puzzles as an app (look for the install prompt), puzzles you have previously loaded will be available offline.

How do I change difficulty?

Use the filter buttons on the gallery page to browse by difficulty. Each painting is assigned a difficulty based on its image resolution.

Where do the paintings come from?

All artwork is public domain, sourced from major museums including the Met, the Art Institute of Chicago, the National Gallery of Art, and more via Wikimedia Commons.

Can I play on my phone?

Yes. The puzzle interface is fully touch-enabled with pinch-to-zoom, a mobile toolbar, and a slide-out menu.
